We are on the lookout for a talented Project Manager to project manage privacy and data protection initiatives in our fast-growing and award-winning company. You will play an important role in the team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on company standards and procedures.

As our Data Protection Project Manager, you will be part of an international, talented and very ambitious team. You will project manage our privacy and data protection compliance initiatives in areas such as data governance, regulation of technologies, documentation management, strategy development and implementation, process improvement, and employee education, across the Group. It is not necessary to have prior data protection or legal knowledge to apply for the role.
You will report to our Head of Group Legal and work closely with our Data Protection Advisor and our external DPO. Some international travel will be required, including quarterly trips to our office in Nis, Serbia, to work together with our Data Protection Advisor.
Project managing the implementation of the Group’s GDPR project, to ensure full, sustainable compliance with all processes and procedures;
Providing leadership in the project to meet the project's objectives;
Assisting the Data Protection Advisor in the implementation of data protection requirements and their impact on practises and procedures, both new and on-going;
Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including HR, IT, Product Development, Marketing, Finance and Content, Traffic & Sites
Supporting the investigation and management of data protection incidents as required;
Communicating key privacy metrics to senior stakeholders;
Assisting stakeholders with process mapping to facilitate project initiation;
Supporting the implementation of Better Collective’s data privacy standards across newly acquired companies and assets.
2+ years experience and a proven track record in project management in an IT-oriented environment;
Experience in a variety of agile project management methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban
Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication and presentation skills;
Excellent people, stakeholder and change management skills;
A structured approach and an understanding of the importance of well-documented processes;
A desire to work with knowledgeable colleagues from different nationalities and functions in a fast-paced changing environment;
Fluency in English, with excellent writing skills;
A demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritise and work proactively without close supervision;
A desire to expand existing practical and theoretical knowledge of privacy and data protection.
Experience initiating, managing and implementing policies and procedures for risk, business risk analysis, compliance, auditing, due diligence incident management and/or best practice;
Good up-to-date knowledge and understanding of relevant EU and US data protection legislation including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR);
Experience in developing and delivering information skills training and materials to a variety of audiences;
Advanced user knowledge of project management and communication tools such as Jira, Trello and Slack.
