We are on the lookout for a talented Data Protection Assistant to support processes of data protection readiness in our company. You’ll play an important role in the team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on company standards and procedures.
Office Location: Better Collective Serbia, Niš, Serbia
Office hours: 9AM-5PM - Monday-Friday
Important note: It is necessary to reside in the city of Niš to qualify for this position, since the work takes place in Niš. No admissions for remote work will be considered.
As Data Protection Assistant at our company in Serbia, you will be part of a talented, skilled and very ambitious team. You will help to establish and maintain effective procedures, standards and policies necessary to put in place for the purpose of data protection readiness. You will be responding to a variety of data protection queries and providing advice and guidance to our staff. You will report to your nearest manager located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The main responsibilities:
Assist the relevant stakeholders with the purpose of establishing, maintaining and improving an effective and compliant data protection system
Regular investigations (checking) of the products and services for the purpose of improvement of the data protection compliance state
Managing data inventories and mapping the flow of data
Ensuring that customer data right requests are satisfied and met within the determined timeframes
Assist in resolving incidents which may impact upon the quality of compliance with the relevant data protection laws, regulations and guidelines
Assist in ensuring that data protection risks are identified and managed
Assist in the provision of support for projects by providing advice and guidance on data protection issues under the guidance of the relevant stakeholders
Gathering new knowledge and skills from the field of data protection and getting familiar with the company’s business processes
Expected skills and qualifications:
It is desirable to hold a professional qualification in law, information technologies, business administration or economics
At least minimum level of computer literacy (familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office package, G-suite, Internet browsing)
Knowledge of the European Data Protection Regulation would be considered as an advantage
Analytical, research and problem-solving ability to accurately interpret relevant legislations across a range of circumstances
Ability to learn new skills and enjoys to develop/improve multi-disciplinary knowledge
Previous experience of working in the fields of data protection and information management would be considered as an advantage
Previous experience of working in the gambling affiliate marketing industry or the gambling industry would be considered as an advantage
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with individuals from a variety of professions
The ability to work in a cross-functional and cross-cultural environment
