Data Protection Project Manager

We are on the lookout for a talented Data Protection Project Manager to support data protection compliance efforts in our fast-growing and award-winning company. You’ll play an important role in the team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on company standards and procedures.


Office Location: Better Collective Serbia, Niš, Serbia

Office hours: 9AM-5PM - Monday-Friday

Important note: It is necessary to reside in the city of Niš to qualify for this position, since the work takes place in Niš. No admissions for remote work will be considered.


The Role

As Data Protection Project Manager at our company in Serbia, you will be part of a talented, skilled and very ambitious team. You will will drive key work related to areas such as data governance, regulation of technologies, documentation management, implementation of strategies, program improvements, and internal education. You will report to your nearest manager located in Copenhagen, Denmark.


Main responsibilities:

  • Manage the prioritization of business needs, project-related work, and stakeholder capabilities to manage an effective data protection/security program and deliver exceptional results in regard to its implementation

  • Implement data minimization and privacy by design/default strategies in business processes and technology initiatives

  • Guide and advise all internal stakeholders to ensure the implementation of data protection/security requirements throughout the business processes

  • Provide support to internal stakeholders in relation to Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)

  • Finding opportunities for using technological solutions to improve the Group’s data protection and data security compliance   

  • Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives 

  • Oversee all project activities to ensure that deliverables meet the required quality
    criteria and are delivered on time

An ideal candidate should possess

  • Project Management awareness and strong organizational skills

  • Knowledge and skills to assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide critical issue management, and balance trade-offs

  • Abilities to implement best practices of Agile Project Management in the context of data protection/security readiness 

  • Abilities to multi-task, prioritize and work proactively with or without close supervision

  • Working experience regarding compliance activities of new technologies 

  • Knowledge about data protection, data security, and data processing is preferred but a strong wish to learn new skills and enjoys to develop/improve him/herself in these matters is essential 

  • Desire to work in a cross-functional, and cross-cultural environment

  • Relevant educational background (the bachelor degree is the minimum level of requested education)
