US Marketing Compliance Coordinator

We are on the lookout for a talented, legally trained US Marketing Compliance Coordinator to assist and take ownership of compliance in our US-facing web content in our fast-growing, award-winning company. You’ll play a key role in the team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on company standards and procedures.


Office Location: Better Collective Serbia, Niš, Serbia

Office hours: 9AM-5PM - Monday-Friday

Important note: It is necessary to reside in the city of Niš to qualify for this position since the work takes place in Niš. No admissions for remote work will be considered.


The Role

As US Marketing Compliance Coordinator at our company in Serbia, you will be part of a talented, skilled and very ambitious team. You will help update and develop our compliance standards across our US-facing online content and stay up-to-date with changes to regulations and guidelines. You will be working most closely with the subjects of advertising, e-commerce, gambling law, and intellectual property. You will assist with audits and spot checks across our network of websites. You will report to your nearest manager located in Copenhagen, Denmark.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research on online gambling, advertising, media and e-commerce regulations for the US states in which BC operates.

  • Produce summaries and guidelines of research findings, and ensure that it is appropriately communicated to stakeholders throughout the Better Collective Group.

  • Stay up-to-date and informed on the marketing requirements of our US business partners.

  • Review business partners' standard terms and conditions and guidelines and assess the marketing and intellectual property requirements therein.

  • Conduct regular, systematic website audits, quality assurance and spot checks on our US content, ensuring that legal and regulatory standards are met and the content is presented in a way that is compliant with our business partners' needs.

  • Develop and implement SOPs for our US marketing compliance processes.

  • Support with license applications in accordance with new state regulations.

  • Support Better Collective’s rapid growth in the US.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a strong legal background with a track record for delivering commercially-oriented legal solutions.

  • Have a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience, preferably in a top-tier law firm or in-house with an IT, marketing or media company.

  • Have experience in IT, e-commerce and/or media law is preferred, but candidates with a strong commercial, corporate or intellectual property law background will be given full consideration.

  • Be fluent in English with good writing skills.

  • Have an eye for accuracy and be highly detail-oriented.

  • Have strong administrative and presentation skills.

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and business partners.

  • Be pro-active and self-motivated, as well as adaptable and keen to learn.
